From October 2016 to December 2017, The Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) implemented the consultancy package “Inspection and Evaluation of Enterprises/Restaurants in Implementing Good Practices on Food Safety and Hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Standards, and Post-harvest Handling.” This was part of the trade promotion project on “Improving Sanitary and Phytosanitary Conditions in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS),” funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
In this project, CISDOMA served as the main contractor, providing a consultancy service package aimed at the following objectives:
- Improving the application of food safety management systems and developing a scoring system for restaurants and food enterprises.
- Improving the independent certification system for good practices in post-harvest handling and GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) to promote the export of corn and rice.
The total budget for the consultancy package was 340,436 EUR.
