The project is funded by Bread for the World (BftW) and Action on Poverty (AOP) in Vietnam. The project was approved for implementation by the Lai Chau Provincial People’s Committee under Decision 1644/QD-UBND dated December 13, 2022. The Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) is cooperating with the Tam Duong District People’s Committee to implement the project from 2022 to 2025 in 06 communes, including Binh Lu, Khun Ha, Ban Bo, Ho Thau, Giang Ma, and Ban Giang.

The project aims for two objectives: i) Improving the economic, social, and environmental benefits for ethnic minority households through the application of ecological agriculture solutions, community-based tourism, and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA); ii) Solutions supported and implemented by the project are recognized by local authorities and integrated into local socio-economic development plans for replication.
