For seven months, from August 2010 to February 2011, CISDOMA implemented the project Enhancing Capacity for Quang Binh District Women’s Union in Identifying and Implementing Effective Poverty Reduction Programs, funded by the Canadian Fund. With a total budget of 16,382 US$, the project aimed to (1) strengthen the capacity of the Quang Binh District Women’s Union (Ha Giang province) in designing and managing sustainable poverty reduction projects, (2) create more jobs and improve income for women in the district through the development of Tan Bac Cooperative, and (3) preserve the traditional craft of hand embroidery, thereby conserving and developing the culture of the Pa Then ethnic group.
