The 12-month project Enhancing Capacity for Quang Binh District Women’s Union in Providing Legal Aid to Ethnic Minority Women, funded by the Justice Initiative Fund and implemented by CISDOMA, aimed to strengthen the capacity of the District Women’s Union (and commune justice officers) in legal communication to boost legal aid for ethnic minority women.
Furthermore, the project was also implemented to enhance the status of ethnic minority women through legal aid clubs at the village level and disseminate legal knowledge via the picture book “30 Questions on the Law on Gender Equality and the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control.” The project was carried out from January 2011 to January 2012 in Quang Binh district (Ha Giang province) with a total budget of 10,328 US$.
