On January 11, 2023, in Hanoi, the Scientific Research Association for Southeast Asia-Vietnam (SEARAV) organized its 4th National Congress for the 2023–2028 term. At this Congress, the Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Association for its achievements in social development activities, community support, and policy contributions.
The Congress was attended by 150 representatives from several ministries, social organizations, and affiliated member units of the Association. The Congress heard a summary report of the work during the 3rd term (2017–2022), agreed upon the operational direction for the 4th term (2023–2028), and elected the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, and the Association leadership.
CISDOMA is a member of the Central Association’s Standing Committee for the 2023–2028 term.
The Consultative Institute for Socio-Economic Development of Rural and Mountainous Areas (CISDOMA) was one of the honored units to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Central Association for its achievements in social development activities, community support, and policy contributions.
- 2017–2022 Achievements:
- Implemented 16 development projects across 12 provinces.
- Supported approximately 25,000 people in rural areas and ethnic minority communities, and over 3,000 university students.
- Conducted 12 research and consulting service packages providing technical support for development projects, including surveys, reviews, project evaluations, and building strategic programs for organizations and networks.
- Published 10 sets of documents and numerous survey and evaluation reports.
- Policy Contributions: CISDOMA actively contributed opinions to policies such as the Forestry Law 2017, the revised Land Law, the Socio-Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minority Areas, and related Decrees and Circulars.
Future Direction
In the coming period, CISDOMA will continue to:
- Enhance organizational capacity and the quality of its staff.
- Develop new project proposals to mobilize funding.
- Strengthen and expand exchange activities, establish cooperative relationships, and actively participate in network activities and policy advocacy alongside other social organizations.
